Seal Carving

Stone seals were used as a signature or by authorities in the past. It is mainly in stone engraved mirrored seal script by using a knife like a brush. Due to the influence and the requirement of the art of calligraphy, seal carving has become an independent art form and is also considered part of Chinese ink art.
